Kimber @ 25 yards

Shooting my Kimber Eclipse Custom II @ 25 yards.....I threw the 5th shot. The gun is much more accurate than I am!

I do shoot the 1911 better than my other pistols. I can hold my own with my Glocks but the Kimber just plain shoots.

No sir, the group was shot standing with a 2 handed grip.

@edlafond1 Great shooting. With my kimber 1911 at 25 yards standing I can usually place all shots inside 4" circle. My Desert Warrior is rated for 2.5" at 25 and I can do a bit better with nice handloads.

Thank you...I do enjoy shooting those Kimbers. I'm with you on the hand loads. For what ammo costs these days hand loading for the 45 acp is a must.

@graveler01 I own 2 Kimbers....the Eclipse 45 and a Stainless target II 9mm. Both have functioned perfectly. I really like them......2 of my brothers own Kimbers also and they love them too. I can't speak for the Smith but I'd be willing to bet that it's a quality piece.

I was in Wally World and they had boxes of .45ACP 230gr. hardball for $85 and I mean 250 rounds Remington. Good for routine practice AND to generate brass for future reloading. If you reload in NYC they count your freaking PRIMERS! I would have a progressive loader anyway to save time.

@edlafond1 I've only bought factory .45ACP match ammo a few times, You just have to handload for this round to make it cost less. Even when the prices were lower match .45 ammo was still too high.
