oh yeah. lighting is everything

yeah i watched it. its okay. still needs work. and im not even focusing on the acting (which in my opinion they should have acted more naturally). anyway, everyone's a critic and sorry to be over critical. i just get annoyed sometimes with these other ignorant comments. its not very constructive (im not saying my initial comment was). film does take a lot of experimenting and it doesnt always work the way you expect it.
the comments here is proof that most people know crap about film. this looks like something i made in 6th grade. me and my media tech friends made a trailer in high school and it won state back in '03 search 'Reserve 17 Trailer'

well compared to your trailer (which was pretty damn cool) and my first proper short film (search for HONESTLY a short film) the pick pocket does look like dog crap.
but consider this. prior to making the pick pocket i had no movie making experience at all. zero. none. it was just three guys that wanted to see if they could actually make a stupid little film. and we did. you gotta start somewhere right?

you're right you gotta start somewhere. there are some good books out there about film and directing. the best thing to do is run through the entire scene over and over and get as many different angles as possible. get the standard angles, then get creative. then later on when you edit it, you can choose which shots you want to use and when. when you add music, it will be a smoother transition from one song to the next.
