  • @jbeden12 Which car was this in, as they haven't finished building the S2000 DS3 Citroen yet?

  • @tbtstt

Loeb won every rally exepp one when he was in championship of France in s2000 car.

  • @tbtstt

Loeb won all the rally France except 1 when he was in a S2000wrc.

  • WOW WHAT A BATTLE OF THE TITANS

  • I wouldn't say its the car alone, its more a combination of factors, specifically that the car design in WRC at the moment favours smooth, unspectacular drivers. Not saying that seeing Loeb driving quickly isn't spectacular, but its rare to see him sideways anymore then he has to be.

I'll be interested to Loeb in a S2000 WRC car; the S2000 cars tend to favour more aggressive driving styles (as a consequence of the NA engine and diff types) so it'll be interesting to see how Loeb fares in one.

  • i'd say he is the best driver alive, you just can't beat him... many hater try to attribute his success to his car but in my oppinion it all down to his finger tips...

the ford has on many occasions proven to be faster than the citroen, on gravel especially... loeb has beaten a variety of cars over his *cough* six consecutive championship years, if he isn't the best driver in the world, i for sure don't know who is...

  • I think its an unfair comparison really. Both of them have succeeded in different eras of WRC and I think neither of them would do as well in the rivals "winning" cars.

That point was proven when McRae drove for Citroen; the design of the modern WRC car just didn't suit his style. Equally Loeb has stated on many occasions he has no desire to drive either a Group A or Group B car as they don't interest him.

  • I wouldn't go as far as saying he's the best driver alive, but he's certainly a talent.

Thanks very much - it was freezing in the stadium so I surprised the camera wasn't shaking around more!

  • colin mcrae couldn't hold a candle to loeb, sorry... but people just glorify him because he's dead, he was quick but had absolutely no mechanical sympathy and had a lot of accidents... if you thumb me down, you're just in denial...
