Yankees may lack a pitcher or two, but they just acquired Ivan Rodriguez from the Detroit Tigers. Kyle Farnsworth went to the Tigers in the deal.
Pudge will make it easier for the Yankees to absorb the loss of Jorge Posada to season ending surgery.
The Yankees could obtain a pitcher before tomorrow afternoon's trading deadline.
