Did she record this before MJ passed? I am curious of what MJ thought of others covering his songs. He was the consummate professional, and seemed to be a fan of many of his peers.

@lovelylady401 I agree about it not "making sense." It's too busy.

I like the way the sample is structured, but the sample, lead vocal (which doesn't "ride" the sample well), the chanting, the original music (of J's song) and J's higher pitched "I wanna be where you are" refrain is just too much. All the "new" stuff is just thrown on top of the sample and it doesn't just work itself out.

I like several of J's songs, but not whatever this is.

Is there a version of J's song sans sample?
