You may need the .net framework:

Here is the written guide for Mac users:
1.) Connect & ssh to your iPhone and iPod Touch
2.) Now go to /private/var/lib/apt/lists
3.) Delete all the files in /root/private/var/lib/apt/lists/ except for the partial subfolder.
Do not delete Partial folder

  • It says "Couldn't initiate process:unable to load .dll 'iTunesmobiledevice.dll'. The specified module could not be found." when I try to click "Connect your device and click here" button. What should I do? Thanks for the response.

    I have 3.0 and I keep getting the "couldn't iniciate process: {0}Unable to load DLL'iTunesMobileDevice.dll':Th­­e specified module could not be found. (exception from HRESULT:0x8007007E" error.

    Do you need iTunes installed?

  • @Sp00nska You're gonna need to downgrade, hust search on youtube or google: "How to downgrade [Device Name EXAMPLE: iPod Touch 1G] from 3.1.2 to 3.0
