Thank you for all the recommendations, please may i ask if you could advise me a book i could start of reading if i want learn more about Islam. i feel as if i need to reconnect with the basics but understand them deeply. Thank you.

@TheGirlBehindTheVeil You're welcome. Sheikh Hamza Yusuf has written a book called 'Purification of the Heart' which covers the fundamentals of understanding/'practising' Islamic spirituality. It's very easy to understand. In terms of books on the 'basics' of Islam, such as the core beliefs and practices, I'm sorry, I can't recommend a particular book as I see so many at Islamic bookstores; if anyone else here has any suggestions, please inform this sister :o)

I am trying to get hold of the books the revival of the religious sciences and the deliverance from error translations of the work of Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al- Ghazali however there are a variety of sources to choose from.
