Leader of the band and guitarist Thomas Hilbrandie was educated at the academy of music in Groningen/ Leeds and The Hague. In 2004 he was in the finale of the dutch jazz competition with his band Raika. In 2005 he was asked to participate in the prestigious Montre ************ ##************
Het Thomas Hilbrandie Trio flirt met klassiek en wereldmuziek waarbij jazz, interactie en improvisatie centraal staan. Bezetting: Thomas Hilbrandie (gitaar), Bert van Erk (contrabas), Elmer Bergstra (drums).

Muzikaal leider en gitarist Thomas Hilbrandie (1978) heeft zijn opleiding genoten aan het conservatorium van Groningen, Leeds en Den Haag. In 2004 stond hij met zijn band Raika in de finales van de Dutch Jazz Competition en in 2005 kreeg hij een uitnodiging om deel te nemen aan de prestigieuze Montreux Jazz Guitar Award in Zwitserland.
