Antonio from Edison, New Jersey calls in to prove the existence of God, but turns out to be operating from misconception about the term atheism. (This is the first half of a discussion that is posted in two video clips.)

Segment of The Atheist Experience #643 from February 7, 2010, with Russell Glasser and Tracie Harris. Topic: Hymns. (Tracie and Russell look at the twisted lyrics of common hymns.)

WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at a non-atheist audience. It is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin. The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

  • @Dado75 Oh, very good on the death bead thing. Never heard that one before.

Actually, being full of hatred and pride would be following the bible's teachings. Not to mention raping, looting, and the occasional genocide. What a wretched book.

Typical Christian, you haven't read it HAVE YOU. I suggest you do. If nothing else hopefully you'll decide to at least look for a god worthy of worship instead of the blood thirsty monster you bend over for now.

  • @xdassinx Way to miss my point entirely. Bottom line is it's obvious when somebody is just claiming to be Christian, yet full of hatred and pride. Doesn't mean that ppl actually following the Bible's teachings with their whole heart are wrong. atheists can be so ignorant lol. You're right, Stalin and Mao didn't abolish religion; they sure tried though, and failed miserably. Atheists don't have to shudder at theists, no doubt. But on their deathbeds, there will be much shuddering..

  • @Dado75 Save the "no true Scotsman" routine. Each denomination, faction, and clique all point fingers at the other and say "they are not true Christians".

If you do the math on all the finger pointing about who's a true Christian you'll be left with no one is.

Atheists don't have to shudder at the though theists pull this one out of their backside all the time like you are doing now.

Stalin and Mao didn't abolish religion. They outlawed the old so they could become the new religion.

  • @187Mexi187 I'm sorry to hear that, but someone can claim to be Christian and not follow the teachings of Christ, and so don't even judge them to be Christian. atheists would shudder at the thought of being compared to stalin or a chairman mao, whose purpose was to wipe out religion, and were, obviously atheists. Jesus hates religion, it's not about a set of rules, it's a personal relationship with Christ that brings you peace. It's simply relying on His strength not on fallible ppl.

  • @karamarouge I didn't know Christians use profanity to prove a point. This is another reason why I doubt my religion.

  • @NathanWubs To you, it may sound stupid. But maybe it makes sense to him/her.

  • omfggg its really scary the fact the likes are number 74,666
