Barubary/Barbary/Barbaroi was one of the earlier examples of a "honourable villain" in RPGs. Think about it, he spares Ryu as a kid and then he gives Ryu a chance to fight him one-on-one. He even gives Ryu a reward for beating him. Barubary should've been the final boss: I can imagine getting to Deathevan and Barubary kills him.

Easier to beat alone than as a group. All his attacks are group based... and Cure 3 wastes a lot of mp!
