The architecture of the temple is-honest to gosh--terrible. It's style and taste reminds me of the architecture produced by the Soviet Union during Stalins rule.
What's the word I'm looking for? Pedestrian....(no)-- compared to many NW European Cathedrals--there is no comparison. The Gothic of Isle de France is unrestrained ecstasy--the SLC temple looks contrived and repressed as if a child had been asked to draw "a really big castle-like building" and the result built. It looks ridiculous.

I'm sorry that you people don't believe in what i do and I'm ok with that because we all have the right to believe what we wish. I hope that we can agree to disagree and continue our lives how we will.

Before 1990, the participants in the LDS Temple Endowment ceremony had to perform the secret blood oaths and the penalties for anyone daring to disclose the temple secrets to the outside world. They included the penalty of slitting the throat and also the disembowelling penalty. Today you make an Oath to sacrifice your own life if necessary to the Kingdom!! Yes sir, the Mormon church is a good wholesome family church indeed!

Have been in the Mormon Temples and taken part in the Temple ceremonies many times. I know exactly what happens. The secret signs and hand-shakes, the long white robes, hats, sashes and green aprons worn by all the members. The rituals and oaths performed before altars. The chanting and the raising of hands to their God. The appearing of hands through holes on the other side of a large veil for the secret handshakes and tokens. Oh, what Mormon joy!!

Translation: If non-mo's saw what goes on in the temple they would run screaming.

Sacred? They say the unworthy don't understand, and that's why they can't know what goes on in the temple, but you don't have to be worthy or holy enough to understand that hand shakes, chanting, passwords and ridiculous outfits are not sacred, they are silly.

Check out a few of the vids on the ceremonies and you'll understand what I mean.

More lies from the Mo's. If I ask you to talk about what goes on in the temple, you will tell me that you "learn about God and make covenants to Him." You WON'T mention the handshakes (1st and 2nd tokens of the 2 priesthoods), passwords, or new names. You absolutely won't mention that before 1990 everyone swore an oath to have their tongues torn out and their bowels thrown before the birds if they discuss the temple outside of the temple.

The temple has more in common with masons and witchcraft than any church I have ever been to. Don't believe me? Google it. Find out just how much of the temple was taken from the masons- a group Smith joined right before he wrote the temple ceremonies!
