@1954phyllis People over 40 are not the most desirable demographic because the people that sponsors tend to target their products are is the 18-40 bracket, that's why they are often called the key demographic. And as far as entertainment being global, that is not liberal bias, that is simple greed and globalized capitalism. It's why political correctness exists and has been proven to be a successful business model. All of that exists to maximize profit and sell American entertainment overseas.

What is mind-boggling is why people r so surprised that the media world tilts liberal/left. There's a simple reason 4 this & it's because conservatives r generally not only less creative & worldly, but don't know how 2 appeal 2 the most desirable demographic of audience, young people. U can't survive in the media world by sticking 2 a limited worldview, whether it'd be from religion or U.S. patriotism. Entertainment does require u 2 b creative as well as commercial. It's also a global business.

@BufordStone No he was ostracized because he praised it from the mountain top a few days before. He contradicted himself and showed that he was willing to pander to his audience. True conservatives do not pander nor do they compromise their principles.

TV goes after the bigger audience. Gays, blacks, asians, women make up more of an audience then traditional conservatives who usually aren't even in major markets like NYC, MIAMI, LA,etc. Follow the money.
