and in the end the officer was chastised by his captain because he made a false arrest. in Massachusetts you can't arrest someone for disorderly conduct for raising their voice specifically at a police officer. either he didn't know the law or he meant to embarrass the professor. And he didn't answer Dr. Gates because he knew he was about to be sued.
I have seen White people get away with that same behavior and not get arrested. I guise that’s called white privilege at its best.
