This clip shows aircrews making the second drop on the Anza wildfire started by lightening on August 27, 2011. They are flying east to west parallel to Barnfather / Marlis Lane. The tree in the lower left at the beginning of the run is our front gate next to the alpacas. The aircrews arrived about five minutes after our 911 call. Ground crews went to work as soon as the airdrops were completed and had things under control in short order. A truly amazing response. Our sincerest "Thank you" to these brave crews.
While this was going on, we moved all of the horses and animals on the south side to the north side of the property to stage them up at the arena for our northern escape route. Gina received no less than 20 calls from people offering assistance with a continuous stream of our neighbors and friends stopping by to see if we needed help.
We graciously thank you all for thinking of us in our time of need.
