I have actually heard the XR200 is WAY better Ive read reviews and alot of people have said its better to spend the extra what.. 1-200? for the XR200 it has improved Optical Steadyshot the auto focus is improved. But it's just up to you.

hey man! thanks so much...this will seem like my unboxing video. i need something else besides my iSight, and im looking at this camcorder or the vixia hg20.

HG20 is also a nice camcorder, the reason I didn't go with the HG is the size and HDD issue. I really want it small and light. I also don't want to deal with moving hard drive parts. 32GB internal flash is not a limiting factor for me because I always have a computer next to me. Image sensor size is also important for low light performance, it's not much but HG does have a bigger sensor.
