ARKON's CM012 is a Friction Dashboard Mount, also commonly referred to as a "Bean Bag" GPS Mount. It sits atop your car's dashboard and is designed to be used in conjunction with the original windshield suction pedestal that comes standard in nearly all portable GPS bundles. It's the perfect "alternative" mount for use in those states (California and Minnesota) where the use of windshield suction mounts are restricted or banned. The CM012 dashboard mount is the industry's only friction style mount that includes an innovative "safety anchor" / safety feature. Use of the safety anchor is optional.
