Okay, so basically Draco likes Hermione, but knows his father; Lucius would kill him for liking a 'mud blood' as they call it. So Draco feels the need to be mean to Hermione, but realizes he soon cant do it, and he hates his father or strongly dislikes him because Lucius is ALWAYS holding Draco back and telling him what to do and not to do. Draco tries hating Hermione but it doesnt work, and she has feelings for him back in the end.
