Unigine Heaven DX11 GTX 580

So here is my first DX11 video. I just got my hands on the new GTX580 card. I did not have too much time for testing just this quick Heaven Benchmark. It's a pretty big jump from my previous GTX295. It's cooler, quiter and a lot more powerful.
More videos, more detailed benchmarks are coming later on today.

Recorded with FRAPS at 1920x1200, extreme tessellation, 4x AA and 16x AF. What we get is average 45FPS, 83c (with fan set to auto in the EVGA PRecision tool, if you manually set it to max or close to it, your temps will go down a lot more). I also got some requests for a benchmark with maximum tessellation http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/abi_yo_shiva/Capture-1.jpg - it has some impact on the frame rate and looks a little too exaggerate.

As you can see FRAPS results are a little bit off.

Card doesnt even sbreak a sweat with extreme tesselation on, this a nice feature making everything look much more realistic.

in the picture you linked you were only using normal tessellation and you have a avg of 45 fps. see what you get when you set tessellation to extreme.

@skatesector9 i just posted another screenshot with maximum tessellation bench score - frame rate goes down to 36 (min 21, max 82). will be posting some crysis 2 videos over the weekend stay tuned.

you should do hair and water demo.. (alien vs trianles works perfectly on my 470 so theris no point...) water (island and ocean demo) is tricky (in full detail)...

i'm thinking about gtx 580 (evga) , i7 2600k , 8gb PC3-12800 KIT (RAM) ,

corsair 850 W , but cant decide which motherboard and hard drive to buy

What is a good score? i dont know how to rank it? i have done test with everything on max including resolution, and i got a score of 1200. Not sure where that puts me>?

ya my graffix card probably worth more than the rest of my computer parts all together. And its bottlenecked bady only getting like 50% performance. But at least i can play the latest games with good framerate

@kebbun1 then that can be the reason coz ur cpu old i think it cant pull the full power of new graphic cards and if ur motherboard support ddr3 u need to upgrade to it :D if u looking for amazing performance and play all games top settings well its looks like u change motherboard and cpu will be enough just calculate the watts u need to make sure u don't need to change power-supply

ram not need alot for gaming so even ddr2 should be fine so its up to u about ram if u want faster pc or just games

@kebbun1 wt is ur cpu maybe its old or bad ? coz normally u can get 40 FPS in heaven benchmark easily without overclock with high settings and some are maximum like 1920x1080p tessellation normal etc..

@Kaddasi just 2 way sli will be enough but i don't know about 3D coz normally 95% of the games u can play maximum settings with just 1 gtx580 but there is few out there that u will need to play high settings not ultra like metro 2033 , but in the end this is for normal not 3D if u want 3D then i have 0 idea
