Why does everyone have to bring up God when any natural disaster occurs. This is not an Act of God - deal with it. If God exists, he is probably eating popcorn watching the show on Earth and seeing how efficient we are at killing ourselves. He probably won't give a rat's arse what happened in Japan just like he has never gave a toss for the past 2 gazillion years.
