Rogue (hoax) antivirus program infects a computer - videotaped as it happened

Some websites are purposely designed to trap visitors into installing malware, adware or spyware. Even well-known websites can have poor or temporary lapses in security that allows such scams to run amuck. My video shows a common type of malware that supposedly initiates a scan for viruses. However, it is simply an animation but it can take temporary control of the browser. Its goal is to bluff you into downloading a false or ineffective antivirus/antispyware program and then hopefully getting you to pay a fee. My video shows you what can happen and also how to fix the problem--if it is not too late!

Haha I hope you didn't use your own computer. Well if you did, you sacrificed it for a good cause :)

The only sacrifice was my time. I used one of my spare hard drives that I keep for testing. I erased it and then installed Windows XP for the making of this malware video. Therefore, the regular hard drive that had my data and programs was disconnected during the test. After the test, I reconnected it and put the test drive back in the closet.

Thanks for your comment. I use Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus. The most current version of VideoStudio is now made by Corel . BTW your videos are edited well too!

i get that samw mycomputer pop up but i close it b4 it loads and my comp seems fine

Sadly, you can't relay on MB all the time. I think I'd be best to have a back-up, probably lesser known.
