Does anybody know who covers this in the opening of the movie "la bamba"? It's a bit heavier and a lot faster. Really like that version.....not that bo aint the man.

Oh, and nice tribute Brother! I just love the guy & wish he'd have gotten the love & attention Chuck Berry got, he sure deserved it spanning old blues to the first rock to the first driving hard rock. Thanks for taking the time to pay tribute to one of my all time musical heros!

70s rocker but love the founding fathers (Bo, Chuck, Little Richard, Bill Haley). Bo brought the first edgy music with the driving afro/caibean beat & rough lyrics w/a rattlesnake for a neck tie, chimney of human skulls etc.! Saw Chuck (twice) & he was a prick to his backing band both times, self absorbed & never played in key or time. Saw Bo 3 times. ALWAYS fun, backing bands LOVED him, the crowd LOVED him! Gracious, took time to talk w/those of us who waited after the show. God bless you Bo!

@TheProlific1980 I don't know. He gets a lot of airplay on the Classic Rock Station in my home town, but I'll give you thumbs up anyway.
