  • Why use a trencher and not an excavator?

  • @chechnya

Several reasons. That machine will dig at a speed that would require about five 45 tonne excavators. They would have to be spread at intervals along the trench path. the trencher gives linear production and will also dig rock which the excavators would find difficult and slow and may be reduced to using hydraulic breakers. Also the trencher produces "fines" which can put back around the pipe

  • @trenchermanUK And the trencher makes a smoother bed for the pipe.

  • whats the name on the back of the sumitomo?

  • @trenchermanUK

can this trencher be used for both soft and rocky ground?

also, what happen if you need to trench a bigger pipeline (wider than the saw on the trencher) do you run it again in the same place parallel to the first trench?

i have a 30" pipeline which means approx 38" trench width. what is a good trencher for that size?

  • WOW
