It's funny that a lot of comments here have not done their own research about the jewish faith and hence christianity. there actually was no jesus, there were no disciples, and none of the professed authors of the new testament even existed. the alleged scrolls they have date back to 100 - 300 AD, impossible that the people walked with A "jesus". And, there is no record of a jesus of nazareth EXISTING. the entire religion is based on a complete lie. go do your own research.

Lisa! at 4:43 you found out in college that the disciples did not write the bible? John and Matthew were not disciples? Peter also. John actually says in 1st John 1 that they actually lived with saw and touched this Jesus(John 1 the word(logos) being Jesus). Not sure if you question that the bible being God's word,if so then why believe anything about the gospel of what Jesus is teaching(5:34). Church is a "fallen institution"? 5:28. I laughed like you did but differently professor.

Heidi, you were born into this shit. I'm sorry for you. Lisa, you're sexy.

The last gal had her fledgeling faith destroyed by an unregenerate professor. Sadly bible colleges are full of faculty who are God deniers and bible scoffers.

<i enjoyed all the comments. I think that Lisa in particular needs to get out where the rubber hits the road and be involved in evangelism. it is alright to question but people also need a genuine faith and that can only come by knowing the God of the bible Yahuwah and yahushua his son. yes i agree with her that sometimes the church is manipulatiive but we need to counter that with a genuine faith that allows us to listen to his voice daily. i am a menn where there are none and it is a challenge

what the last lady talks about is not only with the Mennonites, it is also with a lot of religions. People teaching either Sabbath o Sunday School are not capable of teaching the truth about the church, they just teach that you must be good but at the END the heads of the church dont know nothing about being a GOOD Person...they just want your money, your will, your time, and that you live your life the way they and their families do not live.

should say: THERE is a very large community,
I grew up german, at a mennonite church.........am a senior now,
never knew about India,,,,till our new pastor was an Indian!

first guy: sorry, you are misleading the people, you were brought up mennonite, but you are NOT mennonite: mennonites are from the Netherlands, that travelled through Germany, etc. to Russian, because of persecution. you should say that they not only is a very large christian community in India, but also of the mennonite faith.
thankyou and god bless
Thanks for commenting, starramrse. Yes, while it's important to know and understand the ethnic story (very European) that made historic Mennonite groups possible, it's also important to keep in mind that contemporary Mennonite (and broader Anabaptist groups...Brethren, for instance) expressions are popping up all around the globe, especially in the global South. It's a delicate balance!
