My Roadrailer train at the train club.

Conrail became a 50% partner in Norfolk Southern's Triple Crown Service in 1993, until 1999 when Conrail was split amongst NS and CSX. At the peak there were 12 Conrail Roadrailer trains scheduled, based out of the terminals at Fort Wayne IN and Crestline, OH. The train seen here features an SD50 and a DASH8-40-B.

  • With them in kit form, you can customize them so that they are built either for rail/terminal use or road/terminal use.

  • nice man

i got some roadrailers, in Austraila we call them Trailerail. I only got 6 of them unlike the trailers on your train mine have 3 axles on the back of my trailers and they cost an arm and a leg to get cause noone makes them anymore

  • i love Roadrailers. watching your video made me relieze that I need to go an start buying more trailers..i have 2. lol. and my layout is based on Norfolk Southern.

  • Another thought. I recently bought a Broadway Limited Blue Line AC-6000 BHP iron ore. Its the same blue as Conrail pretty much, so I am having it painted to Conrail Quality. I know Conrail never had AC-6000s to little to late. So what it will look sweet.

  • Nice video, I just bought a Conrail SD-60M for my layout. If you are interested mabey I could send you a bunch of recnet Conrail patch pics on NS we have. I had two uncles who worked for Conrail. I am getting about five boxses of Conrail stuff from them this week. they collected it over the years before retiring. By the way how do you keep those on the rail? I have trouble enough with Well cars on my layout. I guess Im like evevyone else now. I want big 6 motor unit trians.

  • Nice conrail units!

  • very nice :P

  • Nice job! Only if the bowser roadrailers came ready to roll in the box.
