  • the guitar player in the background is Kenny Vernon, Norm Stevens has long retired and doesnt tour any longer. Thanks for posting

  • again, thank you for the correction, I updated the name (as well as the song title, LOL!) when I saw your comment. Would you happen to recognize the fiddler and drummer? I've had no luck on-line trying to confirm if that is Biff Adams on drums (maybe) or Scott Joss (don't think so).

  • I will confirm for you that this is Scott Joss on fiddle, I had the pleasure of playing in a band with Scott for three years with Dennis Barney, between Scott's first stint with the Hag and was with Scott in Pete Anderson's motel room when he was offered the job with Dwight. That's definitely Scotty, a great friend and great talent. great to see him back home with Merle and back in Northern California!

  • The drummer looks like Biff Adam, I remember when he played at The Palamino Club in No. Hollywood, Ca.

  • Biff Adam on drums, more than 40 years and counting! Scott Joss on fiddle, former player for Dwight Yoakam

  • I've got ramblin' fever too ;-) Good ol Hag still get around just as good as Willie!

  • I'll never forget the night I met "The Hag".

My dad recently passed away, I'll sure miss him and I going to Hag concerts together and hangin' out. I'll miss Bonnie too, I had coffee with Bonnie Owens, Biff Adams, and Norman Hamlet one night. Bonnie invited me on the bus and I'll never forget her kindness, she was one of a kind. Merle sounds as good as ever, I hope I get the chance to see him perform again.

  • one of haggard's best songs

  • My goodness, Ben can play that guitar with a lot of style!!

  • Hi thanks for posting, it is Biff on drums.Ally.
