To be totally honest I can't quite remember exactly how but I was searching something up on frostwire and this came up and I wanted to hear what it sounded like.
I used to baby sit and one of the neighbors had this album. I learned the song and it was the first I ever contemplated singing on stage. I never did though. Now I write and perform my own songs but I sure did like that one.
Jerry Reed, Jerry Clower, Granpa Jones, Minnie Pearl, Andy Griffith, Vaudeville Comedians of the Early 20thcentury, Minstrel Shows of the mid to late 19th Century, Pentecostal Preachers as early as the Pentecostal faith goes...yes sailette01 this is a very old, but a very fun story and I'm glad Llaryhi posted it to share with my Grandbabies!
Long before Andy Griffith, way back when I was a little girl, my Daddy used to sing this song to us and we just LOVED IT......And there are days when I find myself singing it and grinning in fond remembrance. And he later bellowed with laughter at Andy Griffith
