@robertgift The truck driver would most likely never see the bike down there in the blind spot (named so for a reason). IMO it doesn't really matter what the traffic rules say, the only person I ever expect to keep me out of situations like this is myself. Assume that all other motorists are out to kill you, make sure none of them manages it ;)

being a fellow cyclist, this is my biggest fear when on the roads every day.....idiot drivers who don't bother to pay attention. Though it mostly is the driver's fault here, the cyclist should have also been more aware of his surroundings. Got to watch out for yourself, because certainly nobody else will.

Even though the truck should have yielded right of way to the bicyclist, the bicyclist should have LOOKED just in case he was not.iced. I do.

Had the truck driver looked and signaled he still may not have seen the bicyclist.

Did the following truck driver stop to assist?

Why the fake sound added?

When crossing streets with green signal, I stillook for anyone making a mistake.
