On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Affordable Care Act. The law puts into place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will hold insurance companies more accountable and will lower health care costs, guarantee more health care choices, and enhance the quality of health care for all Americans.

The Act will not be implemented all at once. Portions of the law have already taken effect. Other changes will be implemented through 2014 and beyond. To track our progress, return to this site regularly for the latest updates.

  • You people make me laugh.. You all sound like you got your talking points right...question: What function does your insurance co provide? You pay them to do what? What product do they offer? why does medicine cost #320 in the US and $79 in Canada?

  • @Luigi2k i hope you dont get a kidney transplant because of hmo. You cant force my to have medical insurance. I can only be forced to have car insurance. Go live under a rock.

  • What a LOAD of socialist propaganda!

  • @ToddonCapeCod - Drama Queen!

  • Every statement made in this propaganda film should be taken as the opposite of what it says. "The affordable Care Act will help "remove" all Americans control of their own Health care"......"and remove access to care that insurance usually provides"......."So they will fear being able to get the care they need"....."The Act guts 500 billion out of Medicare"......"It lets you keep your plan if you can afford the skyrocketing costs of the premiums for reduced coverages".....

  • @JiveDadson

You will take it but you want to have it repealed?

I don´t get you americans....if you will take it don´t talk against it, if you´re against communism then simply take votes for a new governmental system instead of fighting against a law that you want to use.

  • As Sibelius has said, the current administration has only to subject the American people to "reeducation". This video is bald-faced deception - just repeating the lies won't make it less obvious that Obamacare replicates the failed government model of european countries and our own post office.

We have the finest most innovative heathcare system serving us today and attracting people world-wide. We do need to eradicate waste (mostly gov), and incrementally fill gaps for certain conditions.

  • And so the Soviet-style of re-educating the masses on Obamacare begins.

People used to be shipped to Siberia, in the old Soviet Union, if they refused to accept the propaganda from the government

  • November 2nd can't get here soon enough

  • REPEAL!

  • propaganda

  • Sure, it will be affordable to all the people who aren't paying for it. Duh.

  • I'm tired of sending my tax money to Washington so that it can be used to produce propaganda like this.

  • This is criminal, Power to the big insurance companies. This is an illegal corporate take-over, obama is a true Anti-American, WE need impeach this cancer and REPEAL all of the damages that he has caused this great nation.

  • I have a pre-existing condition called polycythemia vera. I cannot get private insurance. If the bill helps me get coverage, I'll take it. But I'm sorry. I still cannot get my head around communism in the US.

    REPEAL!

  • REPEAL !

  • @mcgowen007 Why?

  • The best part of the Health Care Plan is the coverage it will give my daughter Health Care Coverage until she is 26. She suffered a head injury three years ago and would have been subject to a "pre-existing" condition denial because of her part-time college status. I personally am grateful for this provision.

  • @mcgowen007 Give some good reasons and suggest a better law!

  • Repeal the Law!
