The Walker Brothers were brilliant and outsold the Beatles for a time in the mid-60's. But I always thought that their singles didn't do justice to Scott's absolutely phenomenal voice - arguably the best voice ever heard in contemporary music. Then thankfully this song came along and provided just the right vehicle for his unique vocals.

This makes me smile so much. My lovely mam used to sing this to me and my brother when we were kids. She used to put on a really deep voice and she sounded so funny it always made us laugh. She passed away at the age of 32 when I was 7 and my brother was 14 so it's lovely to hear it again as you don't really hear it on the radio any more. Thanks for sharing

@bearo657 Bless you my child! check the dates!!! Midge Ure 1982, Walker Brothers 1975. You do the maths. I needed a laugh; well done, classic comment. Are you at university by any chance? stick to reading the beano. Admittedly Midge's version is good!
