  • I will miss Shea! :(

    RIP SHEA STADIUM!

Shea wasn't even 50 years old! WE don't need a new stadium!

  • Those guys are DICKS. The Beatles played there! And if you hate the beatles, they had good baseball.Assholes.The new one is worth nothing.

  • This makes me wanna cry. I miss Shea so badly.

  • beatles = shea stadium

  • fuck citi field

  • thats just typical new york though. did the yankees need a new stadium? hell no! old yankee stadium was a SHRINE for baseball, so many greats played there. i'm not a mets or a yankee fan (correct me if i'm wrong) but it certainly seemed like the mets didn't need a new stadium.

  • It was just a building, dammit. Get over yourselves.

  • Watching these stadium demolition videos are like watching a murder take place.

  • the mets became world series champions in there!

  • Ah, people get to emotional about concrete and steel. It WAS (past tense) a nice stadium that couldn't offer the comfort and facilities (like decent bathrooms, food courts, suites) we need in 2011.

  • All of you New Yorkers tend to forget Shea Stadium was where the Jets played Football before they moved into Giants Stadium in 1984. The memories of Mark Gastineau doing his sack dance are still vivid in my mind even today. Especially the one time Gastineau pissed off the Rams by doing his little sack dance after sacking Vince Ferragamo in a game at Shea in 1983. That was a memory way too funny to forget! I'm still laughing about it today! LOL

  • @rentro03 I live in Los Angeles and I can guarantee you that Dodger Stadium will NEVER be taken down. Unless the Dodgers want to go back to playing baseball at the L. A. Memorial Coliseum.
