@cor3Production i watch tih sport for the first time but i believe they have one joker lap per race,which enables them to use the cleaner and shorter asphalt during that lap

Can anybody describe why they sometimes use the diry road and sometimes the clean road in this one turn?

@dillydean The "joker lap" is an extra section of circuit which must add approximately 2 seconds to the lap time. Drivers have to take the joker once in a race at a time when they choose.
The idea of the joker is to allow faster cars an alternate way to get past slower moving cars in front without having to batter past them. It makes more sense on the European circuits as some of them are very narrow and twisty, so overtaking (without making a mess of the car in front!) can be tricky!
