2009 Yamaha YZF-R1 - Upgrades

Just a few of the new upgrades that I've ordered for my bike. Not sure about the mirrors yet. I like them 'cause there different but at the same time maybe a little TOO different.

I'm looking into getting the same mirrors. Did you install them upside down? I saw the same mirrors on ebay and the R1 forum, the guys who had them put them on differently. Also, which company did you order them from? I want to make sure I order for the 09 R1 as well..... I've got the yoshi R-77 full system, same tail light as you same sliders, bar ends and tank pad so far. Great bike.

I got them off of ebay, the sellers name is i5motorcycle. I thought at first that they were upside down as well, but if I flip them over then the stand almost straight up. The problem is that the bend on the faring brace is at too much of an angle on the 09 R1. I was able to take the mirror housing off and place them on the stock mirror stems, but I broke the second mirror in the process so now I have to get a new mirror cut before I can finish the job. Will update as soon as I get it fixed.

@313. With an exhaust on it it's the meanest sounding one out there. I got the exact bike just with a full yoshi headers on back and you can hear and feel the power while next to it.

Funny how the top comment is completely wrong, loud mouth fool with a bunch of ignorant loud mouth fools thumbing up. I think the mirrors look sick like that, I never like how high stock mirrors sit. Sick bike man, I only like the new body style R1 in black.

You might want to put the mirrors on correctly before you wire, unless you really meant to do them wrong.. just a thought!

when i got my 09 R1 back in January my upgrades were (in order):

Tires = Pirelli Dragon Super Corsa Pro Race DOT SC2's

Switch gearing position to GP shift (reverse)

Suspension Setup = Race Tech

Slip-On = Twon Brothers Carbon Fiber

i guess some enjoy the capabilities of the machine more then the looks ; )

dont get me wrong u relly RELLY have a nice bike right there.. but i must say WOW that bike sounds like shit :S... i mean it sounds to new if u know what i mean it is like whit all the new sports cars the sound is completly gone :S... now this bike dosent have that same RAW or MEAN! sound like the older once from 00 to like 05 has. now those bikes sound like a bike should sound this one dont have any raw sound at all. but except that is a awesome bike u got !
