Apple does not allow you to use mp3 files stored on your iPhone as ringtones.

You may download ringtones from iTunes for a fee, but here is how to convert your own files as ringtones for free.

  • Hi chris I am jus wondering i get right up to the end of making the ringtone but then wen I double click on it, it says "to choose the program you want to use to open this file" and I choose iTunes but nothing happens, wat could be wrong do u know???

  • @john1998king hi if you are looking for the ringtones things on the library sidebar, just get an m4r file and double click to play it. itunes will automatically load it. the only reason you don't have the ringtones option is cuz you do not have any m4r files in your library
