  • You are quite welcome Frank.

Seriously; thanks for putting this info out there. I'm going to tell my clients about it.

    Take Good Care,

    Bill

  • Thanks, Bill,

You let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you. You take good care, too.

    Best Regards,

    Frank

  • Good job on the video!

You critics might consider that he is starting with the basics to help people who may not understand anything about mixing inks at all.

Cut him some slack. In his later videos I think even very experienced operators just might learn something if they are open to it.

    Thanks Man,

    Bill

  • Thanks, Bill,

I deeply appreciate your kind remarks. I can't express that sincerely enough.

I do try to cover things from the most basic, on through. Sometimes I may talk too much for some folks, and not enough for others. It's a challenge to balance it.

    Thanks again.

    Frank

  • Hi borissman,

While the inks are different, in that flexo inks are like milk in consistency and offset is a paste ink, the math behind the ink blending concepts is mostly the same. You can apply the techniques here to offset ink blending, and even paint or anything you blend.

    Regards,

    Frank

  • What an idiot! and to think I was going to potentially learn something. I think I learned all of this in 3rd or 4th grade.

  • kpmlbell You do not know much about mixing ink. It is not so easy matching a color from scratch, different dispersion have different characteristics leading to different shades. do not ever under estimate how hard it is to do specific task.

  • Wow, this dude loves to hear himself talk, my 4 year old daughter could mix up a gallon of 185 red in about 20 seconds.
