NIDA 50th Birthday Celebrations in 2009

A celebration of fifty years of excellence gives NIDA a unique opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of the past as the foundation for a new artistic and educational vision for the future. As a vital part of Australias cultural and innovation infrastructure, NIDA has a responsibility to not only maintain its high standards but to seek to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving technological and demographic environment.

To mark this 50th celebration, we will be exploring opportunities for students to work within a broader range of performance contexts and in collaboration with many of our training and industry partners, ensuring NIDAs position as an industry-aware cutting-edge training institution. We want to nurture the artistic leaders and innovators whose success will continue to develop a unique Australian cultural identity and help drive Australias standing and reputation globally.
