@TheQueenIndigo - Yes this kind of dancing is very beneficial for strengthening the muscles used for labor. I had my baby at home and the labor and delivery went so smoothly. I attribute most of that to my dancing throughout my pregnancy. My daughter was 9.7lbs and perfectly healthy :-)

This is very elegant and gracious, what a beautiful moment!
I heard that keeping on practicing bellydance during pregnecy was a very soft activity for the body and could help for the labor, and with your comments I suppose that is true :)

This is soooooo BEAUTIFUL<3 i am nine months pregnant right now, but havent belly danced since before i got pregnant, so i dunno how safe it is to jump back in, ive tried some hip shimy's here and there and just get soo exhausted, and sometimes it hurts, i dont wanna put her or my body in shock by jumping back into it right away! i deff cannot wait to jump back in when shes out though:)

@lovealwaysmommy - Thank you so much! I would definitely say to practice as many slow moves as possible. It's never too late to get those muscles strengthened again especially for labor. Doing moves like slow hip circles during labor are extremely helpful for getting the baby to move further down into the birth canal and speed up the process :-) And dancing of course definitely helped me get back into shape quickly after having my baby.
