Watch Out for Wildlife Awareness Week
September 13, 2009- September 19, 2009

Defenders of Wildlife is not only committed to protecting America's wildlife, we are committed to protecting our members and the driving public from the dangers of wildlife-vehicle collisions.

Did you know that every year.... * an estimated 1.5 million animals are hit on U.S. roads? * more than 200 people are killed in collisions with deer, elk and other wildlife? * wildlife-vehicle collisions cause $1 billion in property damage each year?

  • fuck off liberal shits, dumbass animal shouldnt get in front of my car.

  • The animal crossings are a great idea. All kind of money goes into wildlife parks to try and save species that are being killed off....put some of that into these crossing and help keep the population up. Maybe if humans weren't so stupid and stopped building in every single piece of forest out there, the animals would still have places to live.

  • Don't fear any animal. They are God's creatures. That's what happens when we humans build roads and construction/developmentor whatever you call it. Animals lose their habitats. Humans get killed due vehicle/automoboile accidents.

  • @danielandcharlie your are a loser and a moron. Hope you get run over splat!!

  • @danielandcharlie you're an ass!!

  • hahaha thats was gay , i wouldnt slow down id probably speed up, expecily if i had a truck

  • It's very important to post these sort of video. These passages under/on the road are really important. We also have it in Swizterland and it saves many animals. It indeed avoids the problems with vehicles but also allows them to find the other animals of their species on the other side.

  • I used to drive through a remote canyon a lot at night, after I put one of those whistler things on my truck, I never saw anymore deer crossing the road.

  • It's great .

  • i head of these little wind things you can put on the front of your car that when you're driving, say, over 35 mph they make an audible sounds that spooks animals away, even from a distance. Should be a law in FL due to the rapid decline of the panther pop. there - mostly due to collisions with cars.
