I finally figured it out... the bird is a symbiote. He's linking with JonTron's brain and controlling him so he can vicariously live and know what it's like to have thumbs and facial hair. That explains how Jontron can freak out and the his fine feathered friend sits there all chill like "He does this all the time. You should see him driving on the interstate."

Castlevania 64, it's extremely clunky and difficult, but the atmosphere was so sweet, and fighting the vampires was really sweet.

You know whats truly terrifying? I beat both this and Castlevania 64 when i was a kid xD Without walkthroughs, cheats etc xD guess i had a lot of time on my hands (I pretty mouch beat every game in the series since the 1rst one ^^)
