i love tortoises! i have 33 greeks & i plan on getting sulcatas, leopards, russians, & many more :) they are great pets! i also plan on getting a snake soon :| reptiles kick ass!

They can be really quick, surprisingly. They just take many years to grow bless em. But they do recognise people - someone's I know runs over to you when he sees you. Lovely animals.

You know, these little buggers aren't that slow. See if you can find some of the videos here of tortoises chasing cats. They're hilarious.

He was just saving that little piece of lettuce for later... caring it around in his mouth, lol.. for being such a slow moving creature, i think they are absolutely facinating, i love how they strech thier little necks out like that,... and when scared pull all into the shell.. Too cool :D

This is great. Thank you again an again. My grandson (3) loves the Baby giraffe with the mommy an daddy the best so far. He likes to watch the animals. I know he will like this one too. TTFN "I"
