Orca Pod Destroyed In Japan

February 2007 is the tenth anniversary of the horrific capture of ten orca at Taiji, Japan. The pod of ten was brutalized. Five females and young were taken. The remaining five males were pushed out to sea. The pod will eventually die out as they have lost reproductive capacities.BlueVoice.org is working to stop these atrocities.

You are absolutely right. The dolphins mostly go to Asia. Some went to Turkey where they all died. Stopping the hunt will save 80% of the dolphins captured or more. Thanks, Hardy

Some people think we must not treat intelligent animals as food, but Japanese think differently. What Japanese fisherman are doing is legal and they are doing it for their living. Except that these animals are facing extinction, justice in on Japanese side.

@00019972b You obviously do not understand the nature of dolphins. We should not eat dolphins any more than we would eat the great apes, elephants or whales. They are highly intelligent, sentient and social. Eating one of them is like eating a human.

I think BlueVoice are the last Marine Mammal charity that still has its head screwed on right. You guys seem to be the only people telling the truth (Even in response to the Cove) about where captured animals from Taiji go. They stay in Asia, they don't go to America. Captures do need to stop and in the end, Captivity will die out too. But for now, I'm more concerned with stopping the slaughter of Cetaceans and Captures.

I don't think any whales should be held captive period the orca seals stuff like that in sea world never can be rehabilitated since there bred there but it all needs to stop.. stop breeding them the stop capturing them its wrong and we all know it. all this stupid idiots are is greedy and karma comes back to get them
