great sound! what strings do you use for this mandobird?

@dmmy614 They are DADI strings available on ebay, however i would not recommend them if you're trying to convert a mandobird into a mandouke as after hours of stringing, restringing, action adjustment and intonation i still can't get the e string to sound right, just a bit 2 much pressure on the fret and it sounds wildly out of tune.

@Tallhedge oh, ok then. thanx for this. i see, its a hard thing - to convert this birdy to ukulele. though i still want to do this. whats the gauge of your strings?
i found two types of gauges for the mandobird - 10-13-17-11 and 10-15-24-10

@dmmy614 I dont suppose it is that hard, either it just needs the right strings or because it's been set up for mandolin it wont work, i dont know. I am using 11 12 21 33, this is probably the problem because of the high tension, try the 10 13 17 11 and you might get somewhere
