Hanggai -- Xiger Xiger -- Edmonton Folk Music Festival 2009

This band is from inner Mongolia in china. They performed in this year Edmonton folk music. I really liked this song. Notice the throat singing by the man in red dress.

I know this song is about another khan but I would rather think it is about Genghis khan because of his fame in Mongolian history. Makes more sense for me.

@kraols Hey, you can get the entire album on iTunes. It's simply amazing. This song is about 4 horses racing or just running in general. It talks about how the strings of beads on their foreheads go "XIGER XIGER" as they run. Love this band!
