Location sound recorded by Linden Hudson. This is an out-take from an award winning documentary film titled "Art From The Streets". This documentary has won 8 awards at national and international film festivals. In this short clip uploaded by Linden Hudson, we see John Curran, homeless artist, tell a very interesting story about hopping a freight train in Texas. John is great on camera. He's articulate and interesting and probably should have his own tv show. In this documentary, produced by Layton Blaylock (of Inferno Films in Austin), Linden Hudson engineered most of the sound and produced most of the music. For more info about the film go to: www.artfromthestreets-themovie.com . Linden Hudson, the sound engineer recorded sound for this particular clip by using a wireless microphone hidden in John Currans clothes. Linden is an expert in hidden mic techniques. This out-take was recorded in Austin and is not in the film (but is in the special features of the dvd release).

  • When I was 16 years old and little direction but a sense of adventure,.. I hitchhiked from Kansas City, MO to Denver, CO. From there I made it to Salt Lake City Utah. In Salt Lake UT I had to resort to asking a Truck Driver to give me a lift to the NV/UT State line.

In Nevada had a heel of a time to even get people to look at me much less stop to give me a ride. Hours later I saw a slow moving train about a half mile from where I was. I decided to run after it. I caught it. Awesome trip!
