oh god i have to have one this morning (have to wake up in 4 hours to get ready.)
--am only 18 years old....and basically have to do this to 'prove' im adhd and not bi polar.
even though ive had over 5 therapists tell me im NOT BI POLAR. so im nervous. :/ i really dont want to get scared//say things i dont mean//end up with a life long label that isnt even accurate..ughhh. thank you for doing this though, i appreciate this 'heads up' ! <3 take care.

I just went for my psychological evaluation for the first time to get SSI. I had to for a memory test and supposedly for depression also. Yes I was taken apart and it felt really bad, but the good news is the approved me 1rst time around and now I'm getting full SSI benifits. Why I failed the memory test was because the night before I couldnt sleep at all, so I was like a zombie at the test. I'm only 55.

Chairs allegedly "represent" what you trust; you sit on that which you trust. Sit on the floor. Or upside-down.
Math sucks. Try eating your next math test. Get up on the table and scream and pound your chest.
You're not stupid. I can see stupid like a pink floresent panda.... in a grey dystopian Mexican jungle.
You're awesome. Have a basket of hugs :)!

It hurts me to hear you even worry about being stupid. Math can @#$% itself. It is a cold, unyielding, rigid, lifeless subject, a yes or no, youre right or youre WRONG subject. I much prefer a class in English or writing or the arts, where if you give an answer that the instructor was not necessarily looking for, instead of saying, WRONG!, he/she may very well say, Well, thats an interesting way of looking at it. There is life, and change, and flexibility in that.

It will either be 6 months or 1 year depending on the disability benefits you have. :) Good luck to you and I hope you can find the help you need.

Anyway, maybe ur doing better now. See comment below 4 explaining the process. I feel ya on the anxiety. Dealing with that plus learning stats on disorders and death rates, not fun..lol! Btw, does your chest get sharp pains in it with anxiety? Mine does, whew, that can fk you up. I dont begrudge u 4 disability. Also cuttin and drinkin might just be a way 4 you to deal with ur problems in a differen way than anxiety. Dont do the cuttin! Also the," Rubber band trick" is a behavior routine placebo

I do get sharp pains in the chest with anxiety, yes. It's really no fun at all, Ive been to the emergency room for it not knowing what was happening to me. You're right, I have coping mechanisms that aren't healthy. I am glad you are passionate about this subject - someone has to be! :)

Okay, when doing an evauluation they are probably getting a sense of your logical thiking and your cognition of things. Ex. puttin the story togetther. Then they prob combine the logical with ur real learning ability, ex..the actual exam, math and so forth. To be on disability its not being able to get, " Gainful employment", based on the fact you have the disability you claim. U say you had these while on disability? If so, in what time span? Most dont get reviews until 1-3 years to my thimkin

I am not on SSI, I am benefits from my state so the review process is every 6 months.
