THESE STREETS is a music promo that we completed as part of a DVD-based weapons awareness project. It was commissioned by Leeds City Council through their ERDF funded RouteMap project and co-financed by ourselves at the start of 2008. This project was born out of our desire to provide a high quality resource for weapons awareness practitioners within Leeds and West Yorkshire. The project also gave targeted participants a programme of activity that helped them develop their ICT skills and an opportunity to be a part of something positive. A secondary aim of the project was to support local musicians and artists by creating two broadcast quality video promos that we hoped would raise their profile and promote the weapons awareness agenda at the same time. All the films in this project are dedicated to the memory of our friend, Pat Regan - the brightest light in the campaign against gun and knife crime. The beats for this track were produced by Tom Stewart (Breaking The Illusion), whilst the artists collaborating on the track are Kockee K, Low-Key (Yorkshire Terrierz), Dogge (Yorkshire Terrierz), Norty, K-One (CAG), Lady Ai (Afro Physics) and Pat herself. Biographies of the featured artists and the track as a free downloadable MP3 can be found on the project myspace page

  • good video, but childish attitude towards weapons. If you ban knives, people are still going to stab each other with knives, the only thing it does is make it black-market and criminal, which makes criminals use them. If you somehow eliminate all the knives in britain, ppl will find something else to hurt eahc other with. Look at switzeland, where everyone is compelled by the government to own a firearm, look how small the crime rate there is. The state has no business in my self-defense.

  • @deeveyboy this video was shot on top of the host media centre on chapeltown road and the royal armouries car park, peace

  • @Tailypoe777 if you only knew the pain tat all of the people in this video had been through personally i think you might take back what you have stated, also the Lady at the end of this video Mrs Pat Regan was a great activist and community leader she sadly lost her life after the system failed her like it does so many. rest in power Pat.

  • Read a burger-flippin' history book. As I wrote, if terrorists get ahold of bombs and something actually happens, history shows it was probably the feds and if you try to take everything from me/we that isn't foam, I WILL shoot your snivelling ass.

Healthy gun culture reduces violent crime. Deal w/ it.

  • its not no because if there were they be stood right next to Thats piller you see on the video called sky plaza i think there stood on a building up scothall
