- Hercules is fed up with Giselle's inconsistent behavior towards materialistic things, so he seeks help from the one and only being who could possibly change her mind: the God of Lightning Zeus.
-To his sheer amazement, the statue comes to life but briefly advises the young hero to help his loved one see through his eyes, but more importantly, through her heart (since Hercules also desired to appear more attractive for Giselle's sake, the god ultimately grants his wish before Hercules changes his mind).
- Meanwhile back home, a heartbroken Giselle is left to fend for herself when an unexpected visitor comes knocking at her door. To her dismay, it wasn't the scrawny farmboy she was expecting, but rather someone of an intimidating nature.
The mysterious old woman then lures Giselle to a nearby well, where she creates an illusion for the young girl simultaneously. Giselle merely watches in disbelief as she views Hercules plummet towards the brink of an abyss.
Watching from his humble abode, Hades, the sole provider for this illusion, waits for the young woman to fall victim to his trap at any given second.
Once the decrepit older woman catches Giselle off guard and pushes her to her death, the waterfall then becomes a direct portal to the realm of the underworld, furthermore, the river Styx.
Having no chance at survival, Giselle desperately fights for her life as electrocuting orbs slowly begin to ease through her flesh and bone.
Once the spirit of the once-human Giselle exists no more, Hercules then senses the presence of his lover dissipate from the earthly realm and affix itself into the netherworld below. He feels nothing but regret for not having saved her.
Thereafter, Hercules pays the god of the underworld a visit in hopes of finding Giselle in either of the five great lakes. Once Hades has caught the hero's undivided attention, he leads the noble man into a domain where the river Styx is said to be separating the land of the living amongst the realm of the dead.
To the hero's great surprise (and utter relief), he doesn't find the woman floating within either of the lakes. He then gladly takes the opportunity to compensate Hades as he gives him the ultimate head-smashing blow, hurling the spiteful god to become a part of his own netherworld.
It isn't long before a bolt of lightning strikes smoke beneath Hercules's feet, causing a mesh of clouds to form beneath him as they wisk the man up high into the sky.
Shortly after, Giselle's carefree spirit goes into a frenzy, hoping to catch glimpse of her former lover once again and apologize to him for the error of her ways.
Giselle runs smack-dab into Hercules, causing the girl's spirit to rebound both wide-eyed and in shock. "Hercules?" the woman hesitated, "Is that.. you?"
Hercules gives Giselle a reassuring and all-too familiar grin as they wait a few more seconds until the spirit comes back to her senses.
"Oh Hercules!" the woman caught her hero in a loving embrace.
The two afterwards reconcile, but it is also then when Hercules decides to ask the most anticipated question of his life "Giselle," he spoke softly "will you marry me?"
The woman brew tears from her eyes and smiled a grin no other woman could have on that very same day. "Yes" she answered, and the couple went on to live in matrimonial bliss for the rest of their lives.
