I guess this gets some of the idea across, but I think that you ended up using way too many verts (33,000+) with an object that isn't accurate.

i have manage 2 make such a lego model. however, i need sum tutor help with rigging it. any1 know hw 2 rig a lego model?do i need 2 use constraints? coz im planning 2 rig the model 2 b able 2 move rigidly lyk a real lego model (hands move legs move 90degrees front n back only etc). help is greatly appreciated..
