I used Zavlar by liquid rubber for my actual build.

I have recently heard some people having some issues with aquaguard. Saying it is too watery. So don't use it.

I originally mentioned AquaGuard in the build so U.S viewers would be able to use liquid rubber as well.

While AquaGuard is still a liquid rubber, and safe to use. It is not practical for a plywood tank like i had thought it would be.

For U.S viewers, look for pond coat! Made by liquid rubber, and is the exact same thing i used, just a different name(licensed under Liquid Rubber)

  • Hi, do you think this tank would work for my turtle? if not how could i possibly chance it to work better for it?

  • @koopatroopa725 it would work for anything that needs a tank of water

  • what kind of plywood did you use for this?

  • @rosepedal911 good one side. Pine i believe.

  • How thick is the front glass you used?

  • How thick are the Wood Board??

  • did you screw the top panel to the sides, front and rear or you just leave it on top?

  • so you just straight screwed plywood into plywood with no frame?

  • if i wanted to do this could i make the tank really long??

  • I got a question, I am thinking about doing this because the spot where I want the tank on my bedroom wont hold my 55g or 75. If I do this custom build like this to fit the area that I want it in can I set it up as Salt tank? Can I place anything on the bottome of the tank on the inside such as crushed coral or live sand? If you can help me out with this it would be great so I can decide whether or not to do this..thanks

  • As someone asked before about filtration, Can you set it up the same way as the acrylic tank you made on here with the background and drilling thru the bottom?

  • Brilliant.

I'm wondering if liquid rubber might be a good sealant for fake polystyrene backdrops: it might be possible to bed the polystyrene "rocks" in to the paint on the back (and even the side) walls at an early stage then apply the rubber over the whole lot in successive layers...

Anyhoo, great video - thank you so much for sharing the intellectual wealth :o)

  • how much did it cost to make the whole tank?
