This was a prayer/hymn done by Leonard Cohen at the end of his 2nd Dublin date 14/06/2008.  He thanks the audience for their etremely warm reception and also for the many years they have kept his songs alive.  Cohen remarks on the Lisbon Treaty vote that "Ireland continues to be-wilder the World, Bless you for affirming your destiny in this vale of tears.  At the risk of offending any atheists, God Bless You"  L. Cohen.Reverendly he leaves the stage. We will never see the likes of him again. God Bless YOU, Leonard Cohen.

  • If life was perfect, the next time we're told to vote yes, we would again vote no and we'd again get to see Leonard Cohen on the referendum results day. A perfect weekend.

  • You never know. I think by Leonards's re-action to the Irish audience, he would love to come back again. We can only live in hope. Long Live Leonard.

  • He returned...how fabulous, and so emotional.

  • Musicians make me cringe when they engage in social commentary. But there you go.

  • I think the Irish bewildered Leonard that night too, what a fantastic gig (Saturday was the best one!), big thanks to everyone who posted clips. Am still emotional thinking about it. Thank you Leonard Cohen, you'll live forever in our hearts.
