  • SOOOOO Beautiful!!! I got chills!!! Thank you so much Renee! You are such an inspiration! God Bless you!!!

  • @MOZ1175 Renee is a full lyric soprano. I think you mean her timbre has darkened, and that happens with age. She can reach, I believe an E flat, but her timbre is darker than let's say, Natalie Dessay. Her voice is richer, more meaty, than when she was younger. It's what separates a full lyric soprano from a light lyric. Some sopranos start as Soubrettes, go on to light or full lyric and some lucky ones have the agility to go on to the coloratura roles.

  • Awesome performance!!!! A true American legend!!!

  • @jackdoc5 @MOZ1175 she is indeed a lyric Soprano, not an alto

  • @jackdoc5 that is the same question that I ask, I think she is usually marketed as a soprano, but her tone is way too low for that.

  • AMAZING !!!!!! this truly is. GOD's creation is hymn

  • She does a wonderful job with this song.

Just out of curiosity, is Ms. Fleming an alto?

    Thank you for posting this!!

(This lower register that she sings in actually sounds weird to me, since my mom sings this song in a higher register.)

  • OMFG I WANTED TO KNOW THE NAME OF THIS SONG FOR SO LONG!!!! BEAUTIFULLLL (AMERICA WHY HAVENT INVENTED A WORD THAT MEANS MORE THEN BEAUTIFULLL THIS IS MORE THEN THAT!!!!)

  • This is the only Christmas carol or hymn I can stand to listen to over and over and over again.

Renee takes a simple song and turns it into a religious experience for the ears.
